Graphic Novels...

Are graphic novels a legitimate form of literacy?

Ah, a good question. I'll toss it back first, though. What do you mean by "legitimate"? I ask because I think that might lead to even more interesting comments.

I would say yes. I learn more words from reading graphic novel than at school. Either the school doesn't make sense or writers are more to it than teachers.
